Harvesting Rhubarb

Overcast with sunny spells and 21-22C today with a light wind coming over from Mill Green when opening the main gates to get into the car park, however because of the high brick wall along my plots, and the surrounding houses, not windy at all in the allotment site.

A swift visit this morning as I had a lunch date with my sister for a nice roast diner at our local Toby Carvery today and a diabetic nurse appointment this afternoon.

Rhubarb Livingstone unearthed from the BB (Bloody Bindweed) and harvested for my sister. I needed to clear this area between the raspberries and the climbing frame greenhouse. Rhubarb stalks harvested and the leaf's cut up for adding to the hotbin

Three cucumber growing nicely and getting larger with each visit

Tomato beds 15A & 16 watered

Tomatoes ripening and gradually turning red

Bed 15B Beetroots, walking onions & Carrots watered and the climbing frame greenhouse also watered.

All Gold raspberries on the boundary bed tied back and cut back so as not to impede the grass cutters when they come to cut the main path.
