The Met Office says the official heatwave criteria will be met across many areas of the UK, with three consecutive days of temperatures above thresholds that range between 25C and 28C depending on location this week.
In London, temperatures are forecast to reach 29C on Monday, rise to 32C on Tuesday and hit 28C on Wednesday.

I thought I may as well try and germinate some parsnip seeds in Chinese takeaway containers, nothing ventured.
With it being 35.4C in the potting shed and 24C outside and the promised cloud and overcast forecast between 12 noon and 2pm no where to be seen, I made my exit for the day and went home for lunch.
