Dropping Off Apples & SFG Bed 2 Top Up

Due to a blood sugar/ glucose low this morning I slept in way too long and ended up working in the back garden clearing windfall apples and cutting the lawn in the morning. Then a late afternoon trip to the allotment to drop off said apples for adding to a Dalek yet to be installed. Harvesting the never ending supply of ripe raspberries to take home to freeze and have with my Weetabix breakfast and a selection of the now ripe tomatoes. I then topping up Square Foot Garden Bed 2, next to the potting shed, to get it ready for planting more carrots and beetroots etc. this month.

Apples brought from home for one of the Daleks. The apples are so acidic and not fit for cooking or consumption

Square Foot Garden Bed 2 before topping up with spent Potatoes in Buckets Compost & Coir and soil excavated from the installation of Daleks up on Plot 1A

Spent Compost & Coir in buckets tipped up in the SFG Bed 2

Spent Compost & Coir that bindweed had got into the 30Litre pots with handles and had travelled around and around the bottom of the pot and was thus easy to remove before spreading over the bed.

Compost & Coir spread over the bed, then a bucket of soil added in the middle of the bed

View from the potting shed once the soil was spread over the bed.

30 Litre bucket of soils deposited on top and spread over the bed to bring the soil level back up to the top of the raised bed timber frame

Square Foot Garden Raised Bed 2 re covered with scaffolding debris netting to keep the foxes off.
