Garden Press Event

What a great day out, I've been attending this event annually since 2014 and I always enjoy the day and meeting up with other bloggers who are regarded as freelance gardening journalist and the occasional celebrity gardener, professional gardening journalist and authors.

Sean James Cameron of Gardening made Easy YouTube Channel and I kept crossing paths as we worked our way around the event and we finished about the same time. I came straight home but Sean stopped for something to eat and put his bag with his camera under his chair and some swine pinched it. He only has the SD Card from the start of his trip around the Press Event as the second card was still in the camera.

The footage from the SD Card has been uploaded at "London day out and bad end to the day" a number of his regular subscribers have offered to assist in funding replacement equipment and Sean has put a link up under the video to allow you to do that via PayPal if you enjoy his work and want to get him back up and producing videos again quickly.

It's nice to see the regular exhibitors and to find out what's new for the coming growing season and then each year there are the new companies and new products that are coming to those that garden.

There are a number of companies selling pots that will water for you whilst your on holiday or away, or will indicate to you when the plant needs watering this year, I loved the Darlac Owl WaterMe pot with the moving eyes.

The environmentally friendly trend continues and there are new slug prevention product G2 from grazers as well slug eradication systems like a new nematode system from The Environmental Factor called "NemaKnights" that should be hitting the garden centres next month and that you don't have to order in and keep in your fridge at home with your food until you take them down the allotment. A sample is going to be sent to me to trial and I will give you more information about it when it arrives. Marshalls also have some new slug related products and I'm awaiting a sample to arrive.

As always one leaves this event with a few bags of brochures, memory sticks with Press Information on and freebies, and the award for most novel give away this year has to go to Spear and Jackson for the spade bottle opener. These can be purchased on line from Amazon etc. if your looking for a novelty item for a beer drinking gardener in your family.
In addition to small samples that are offered, there are a number of items that are going to be sent to me to trial and review so keep visiting and watching for the reviews and details about these items

It was nice meeting up with Matt Evans the UK Marketing Manager from Bio Green again who are attending this event for the first time. He was busy chatting to people a few times I passed, but I did manage eventually to catch him on his own for a quick catch up.

The Firefly was the product that Bio Green had in the "New Product" area to be voted upon for charity as I suspected.
