More Tomatoes & Raspberries

With four days of rain forecast this week, and an eighty percent chance of rain and thunder storms tomorrow, I was on the allotment early to water what's in the potting shed and stayed on the plot until 10:50 just as the rain started.

This morning I saw four plot neighbours John, Rob and had a quick chat with each of them, one of the benefits of being the first plot just inside the gate is that you get to say hello and goodbye to those that visit. The new plot holder of plot 13 who picked his key up Friday was bring in timber and pallets.

The photo above is Todays Tomato `Merrygold F1', and Tomato 'Crimson Cocktail' & Raspberry harvest

Square Foot Garden Bed 1 from the seats in front of shed on plot 1, the carrot seedlings are just showing, its amazing what some good old rain will do.

Raised Bed 15 following weeding around the beetroots, I really should take photographs before as well as after.

Tomatoes after ripe tomatoes harvested, I did do a little thinning of the foliage, and that will go into the Hotbin which got topped up with parsnip and French Climbing Bean offcuts from home today.

Pulled a lot of bindweed off the bed that has the three foot scaffold boards on, that I will need to make the next raised bed. The pots with handles filled up, and hopefully will consolidate over the next few wet days so I can pull some more next dry day I can get down there to tidy that bed up and expose all the materials I need.

I do need to bring the Ryobi trimmer down to clear the weeds in the woodchip paths.

Square Foot Garden Bed 2 in need of weeding next visit as the carrots can now be clearly seen.

Trimmed back the overhanging raspberries on the path towards the Climbing Frame Greenhouse.

Climbing Frame Greenhouse from the water feature. The mesh panel is to put the cats and foxes off going in there to dig and poo.

Climbing Frame Greenhouse beds as cleared a couple of days ago when I forgot to take a photograph, I need to do more clearance of the weeds in there so if the other dwarf French beans germinate they have somewhere to go.  At least now I will not get wet off the Raspberries following rain when accessing this area of the plot from the potting shed.

It looks like the fox has pushed over the planter. I need to find another home for the bamboo to weather and get the buckets with the Blueberries that died last year off the four foot scaffold boards as they are needed for the next raised bed.
