I got to the allotment nice and early and harvested one and a half buckets of potatoes, then as many tomatoes from Bed 16 and removed all the foliage and added to a Dalek with a layer of shredded paper.
Next bucket had loads of potatoes that were exposed as compost removed
Next level of spuds exposed as compost gradually removed
One and a half buckets of potatoes, and there is still one and a half yet to be harvested. Four potatoes were planted in each 30 Litre Pot with handles.
Final potato harvest
It looks like the lettuce are beginning to get nibbled a little, so more egg shells and coffee grounds to be added next visit
Lettuce getting a bit nobbled in both SFG Beds
Harvesting tomatoes
Removing Foliage and weeds.
Some really big roots to the tomatoes this year
The level of the soil has dropped 75mm - 100mm I have left it uncovered for the robins, but have put the anti fox device in the bed. It's going to be 1C over night so we may have a hard frost tomorrow morning. I will be filling this bed up and over wintering the Japanese onions and covering in hoops and debris netting
