Way too hot!

My eldest Daughter Emma came down to the Allotment today after work to save her old Dad getting down on his hands & knees as the legs and feet are playing up again.

Due to bad germination, just over 50% of the Marshalls Tyson F1 sweetcorn we only managed one full bed and four spares plus two runts of the litter from two tray loads of sweetcorn in the 28C Blistering sunshine late this afternoon. Watered in and hopefully they will survive the slugs snails and bloody foxes.

I normally have two full beds of sweetcorn, so I will be sowing another late batch of a different variety and putting them down the other end of the plot.
