Looking closely at the photo I noticed that the loft conversion was missing!!!.
At the moment I'm using the plot 1A greenhouse to dry out coffee grounds to use as fertilizer and hopefully keep some snails and slugs away from my plants, so I needed to get it back water tight and thus popped down to the allotment this afternoon for a couple of hours.
Daughter Emma and Andy popped down with me and Andy helped get the loft conversion back on the greenhouse, as I have a frozen shoulder and with the arthritis can't climb ladders or get the unit back in place on my own.
We added a couple of timber down stand legs so it can't slip off down the slope again. I was going to put a couple of straps in place but because of my mobility issues had not yet managed to get in there and do it.
The grapevines has gone bonkers and need trimming back next visit, so they can put more energy into producing grapes and less into expanding territory. The growth in the last two weeks has been phenomenal.
Most of what I planted in the climbing frame greenhouse has been nobbled by the slugs and snails. It's so disappointing to invest in growing five different varieties of cucumber and French Climbing Beans and to have them and their replacement and spares eaten by slugs and snail.
Today I got to taste my own grown blueberries and Emma harvest All Gold, Malling Juno (Early Season) and a few Autumn Treasure (Late Season) raspberries. At the moment Tualameen Pearl (mid season) are not producing many berries & Polka (Late Season) are not producing any berries
Second picking of the Rhubarb Livingstone, initially grown for my wife, who is sadly is no longer with us, Emma is taking some to work to share the Rhubarb love around.
Hotbin has gone down so filled up again with
And finally a layer of cut up comfrey
Watered the sweetcorn and turned the around so they are leaning away from the window to encourage them to straighten up a little, There are enough for two beds worth before the slugs and snails decide to attack.
