Yes, They Are Cucumbers!

These two unique looking cucumbers have been ordered for my Seed Box for 2023, and if it was not for the postal strike they would already be in with the rest of the cucumbers and Gherkins I'm going to e growing in 2023.

The Seeds To Suite December Newsletter came yesterday and there are more interesting vegetables and flowers being added to their selection, more on that in a future posting. They also mentioned my post about Making Self Watering Pop Bottle Propagators which was very nice of them.

A wonderful outdoor Heirloom variety.

It is possible to grow it as a ground ridge cucumber or train to climb on a trellis.

Crop on a Regular basis when fruits are between golf ball to tennis ball sized and you will be rewarded with an abundance all summer.

The flavour is sweet, refreshing and crunchy with no bitter after taste.

Cucumber Crystal Lemon - Seeds To Suit - 49p

The flavour is mild, sweet and never bitter. Fruits are best harvested when reaching the size of a lemon.

This variety is wonderful for salads and pickling - if you can resist the temptation of eating them whilst harvesting!
