Visit In The Rain

A visit to the allotment this morning during the light rain, to water what's in the potting shed, and to gather more apples, and onions off the drying rack, and harvest the next batch of ripe tomatoes. I will be sharing these with an old neighbour I'm seeing tomorrow who is over from the Isle of Wight.

Meanwhile the
Japanese Senshyu Yellow Globe Onions seeds have germinated well with many more showing since my post of the 14th September, three days ago which was the last time I was down on the plot.

These Japanese Senshyu Yellow Globe Onions seeds were sown a day before the other tray and the germination rate is not as good, but this was from another packet of seeds.

Vailan Winter Gem lettuces seedlings doing well. I turned the tray around so they can lean their other way towards the light and straighten up a little in the process.

When I looked out of the potting shed window and saw yet more All Gold Raspberries ready for harvesting. I use my harvested Raspberries on my Weetabix breakfast, and have a large quantity harvested and frozen for this purpose.
